My only issue is that this book is seriously too long, and at points i felt bored because of it's pacing. Be more chill is about high school junior, jeremy heere and how he, in his most fragile desperate teenage state, spent 600 dollars on a supercomputer called 'the squip' that teaches him how to be cool. Some of be more chill works.

Jeremy heere buys himself a 'squip', which is a miniature computer (with keanu reeves' voice) that lodges into his brain and lets him know how to be cool. The ending was clever, even if i felt it was a little forced.

Be more chill poses some really interesting questions about technology dependence and the pressure to be cool, but in my opinion it fails to deliver on the promises made by the premise.
